Why Do We Use USDA Certified Bio-Based Bags?

The short answer is they are better for the environment.

Virtually all pet waste management companies use 100% plastic dog waste bags to restock your stations. Our bags are made from 38% plant-based material and are certified by the US Department of Agriculture.

If you use roll bags in your dog waste stations, it takes 6 gallons of petroleum to make a case of bags. If you are using header bags in your stations, that number jumps to 9 gallons. Our bio-based bags use 62% LESS petroleum.

Why Do We Use USDA Certified Bio-Based Bags?

According to the MIT Climate portal, plastic waste emits greenhouse gasses while it degrades:

…And the resulting plastic waste will continue releasing even more emissions the longer it sits around. The most commonly used plastics have been shown to release the greenhouse gasses ethylene and methane as they decompose, the latter of which traps atmospheric heat at 25 times the rate of carbon dioxide over the course of a century.
